About the Author
Lisa Cloherty
Lisa is an award winning author of children's books and a pediatric speech-language pathologist. Her debut picture book, Katie Spector the Art Collector was released in September 2021 with Charming Books Press and was followed by, Terrance the Hothead in March 2022 by The American Speech Language Hearing Association Press (ASHA Press). Mabel's Mitzvah was released in September 2026 by Free Spirit Publishing.
Most of Lisa's stories revolve around community, family and self-acceptance.

Lisa attended University of Maryland and later pursued her Masters of Science at Northeastern University. She has worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist for over a decade. She is the owner of the private practice Gift of Gab. Lisa loves watching her students of all ages learn, grow and build their confidence.
Family Life
Lisa loves having adventures with family. Along her travels, she often finds small book stores and loses her self among the stories. She recently set up a free little library for her neighborhood. Lisa lives in Connecticut with her family. In the summer months you can find her kayaking down the river or catching hermit crabs at the beach.
